Help Us Support Paulene and her family.
For the past seven years, Paulene Walsh and her family have given their time, energy, and hard work to Honeoye Lake, spending countless hours on the weed collection barge. They have helped keep our shoreline and waterways clear so that all of us can enjoy the lake we love.
Now, Paulene needs our help.
Last week, tragedy struck when Paulene’s home and her neighbor’s home burned to the ground. In an instant, Paulene lost her home and belongings and was left without a place to call her own.
Thankfully, friends have opened their homes to Paulene, giving her a safe place to stay while she begins to face the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life.
During our recent HVA Trivia Contest, participants and winners quietly stepped forward and donated money to Paulene. It was a wonderful reminder of what makes the Honeoye community special: when one of our own is hurting, people come together.
Paulene has spent seven years helping take care of our lake.
Now it’s our turn to take care of Paulene.
The Honeoye Valley Association is creating an opportunity for HVA members, lake residents, neighbors, friends, and the entire community to contribute directly toward helping Paulene through this incredibly difficult time.
No donation is too small. Every dollar is a reminder that Paulene is not facing this alone.
Please consider giving what you can.
We may not be able to replace what was lost, but together we can help Paulene take the first steps toward a new beginning.
From caring for our lake to caring for one another—that’s what community is all about.
